The Story
My name is William and I am from Germany. I started cooking when I was very young. Thanks to my father, whom I began to help with the barbecue in the summers (Also a very German thing to do). However, that was the moment when I figured out that I do not only like food. I wanted to know how to cook by myself. Thus, I started watching all kinds of shows about cooking in television and tried to grasp some of the tips and tricks that the most prominent tv chefs in Germany were using. I soon would prefer cooking by myself, rather than ordering food, when I was home alone. My parents were very happy to see that the kitchen was a mess, but at least the kitchen did not burn down during my attempts to cook. We did our first trip to Asia, when I was about 10 years old and that is where I started to find out how much I like the culinary exploration of different cultures.
I went back to southwest Asia after I finished school, to get some even more experience in the asian cuisine, especially the Vietnamese.
In the future I hope I get the chance to travel as many countries as possible and extend my knowledge on spices, different ingredients and new recipes!

There is an English proverb: The way to a man's heart is through the stomach, and I guess that perfectly fits me!
